Suzanne Kennedy
Project Manager
Suzanne aka ‘Siún’ is a lecturer at LYIT on the sports degree programmes. SiÚn is an avid adventurer, whose endurance experiences are wide ranging. Kayaking trips include circumnavigation of Ireland (with Karen), across the Irish sea, NI to Scotland, Antarctica, around the Lofotens, along the coast of Croatia and Menorca. Siun has also sailed across the Atlantic, biked to Everest base camp from Tibet, and trekked in Argentina and Nepal.
Michael Wall
Technical Support
Michael Wall, Founder and Managing Director of Somex Automation. The company designs, builds & supports specialised equipment for Manufacturing Industry from their facilities in Cork. Their Mechanical, Automation & Robotics skillset is the result of over 20 years of experience in cutting edge Manufacturing Technology. Michael is an experienced, Qualified Sailing Skipper, Kayaker, Marathon Runner, Open Water swimmer, Diver, Ironman Triathlete and has trekked extensively in the Himalayas, Andes, New Zealand, Africa & Europe.
Orla Knight
Finances
Orla is a PE teacher in Castletroy college, is a keen kayaker, snowboarder and adventure athlete. Orla has sailed the Atlantic and up the Mexican coast. Extensive endurance experiences include cycling across USA (with Karen), the Camino, Norway, Oregon and Washington state. Kayaking trips include Croatia, Antarctica, Menorca, and Irelands west coast. Orla has also trekked in Nepal, Argentina and Africa.
Andreas Riemenschneider

Andreas is based in Kinvara, and is owner of Doorusphoto. A native of East Germany he moved to Ireland in 2001. Although landscape photography is a deep rooted passion, his photography journey over the years has developed commercially into fine art photography printing, photo restoration and artwork reproduction. Writer, Director and Cinematographer Gary de Búit stems from the land of hills, poetry and raw-rare people, Co. Monaghan. In recent years he completed a MA in Film (Screenplay) and holds a strong passion for the documentary genre, gravitating towards people/situations that are undertaking inspirational actions. Donal Hogan
Drone & Equipment
Donal is an ecologist, and a Clare man, and currently living in south Galway. He works with the Burren Programme project and has extensive knowledge of, and respect for, wildlife and wild terrain, with a background in reintroduction biology, avian ecology and rangeland ecology. Donal is an adventurous soul who has a passion for gadgets and creating things! He has cycled solo and unsupported from Ireland to Romania, and a journey which he intends to continue as soon as possible. He is a dab hand with a drone!
Kathy Kirwan

Adventurer, Eco-Artivist and Educator, Kathy Kirwan, the Offaly woman has sailed across the Atlantic on four occasions (including one trip with Karen and Orla). Combining her deep passions for the ocean, art and sustaining our precious planet, she works as an Eco-Artivist. she facilitates nature-based experiences for developing creativity, connection, and education for sustainability development (ESD). She has facilitated Eco art ESD courses at UCC, CECAS, MTU Crawford College of Art and Design and many primary and secondary level schools.
Maeve Kelly
Logistics & fixer
Maeve is a project manager with a background in events, research and education, delivering programs both locally and internationally in Europe and Asia. She travelled the world for many years as a musician and manager of a band, Fling, playing diverse gigs - from black-tie events in Shanghai to orphanages and a juvenile prison in Malawi. Maeve has also spent time volunteering in Greece as a first responder to boat landings, providing emergency assistance, food, water & dry clothes to refugees. She enjoys sailing and travelling, loving every opportunity to see new parts of the world
Joanna McInerney
Merchandize team
Joanna is the director of the Burren Outdoor Education and Training Centre and is a keen kayaker and adventurer. Trips include kayak explorations of Alaska, Greenland and the Antarctic as well as trips to Tasmania, Patagonia and arctic Sweden. Joanna lives in Doorus, Kinvara.
